How would a trip to Italy in 2018 sound?
Imagine floating along the Grand Canal in Venice as an Italian gondolier  gives you the tour. Allowing your breath to be taken as you experience the majestic beauty of the snow-capped Alps in Lucerne as you devour authentic Swiss chocolate is a must.  Maybe you would enjoy climbing the steps of an ancient castle in Germany.

If any of this sounds amazing, let me be the first to invite you to come along with SMMS as we take our first overseas trip to visit Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

We will be taking this trip in May, 2018! Visit our Tour Website (http://www.eftours.com/1952251TC) to find out which amazing cities, fun activities and cultural events we'll be experiencing on tour. There, you can also review all that's included in the program price and enroll online. Watch The Global Classroom to see how taking students out of the classroom opens their eyes to the world, preparing them for lifelong success.

Payment plans are available!!  If you have questions please contact Mrs. Kimberly Barrett or Mrs. Patricia Murphy. Click the link if you would like all the details and the information to signup. Remember to sign up by January 31st to receive the discounted rate.

Tutoring
Tutoring is available for any student who needs additional assistance in any class. Extended school services are available on Wednesday afternoons from 3-4 (except for the last Wednesday of the month) or Thursday mornings at 7:30 in Mrs Murphy's room. Additional math tutoring is available Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 7:30 in Mrs. Adair's room and Thursday afternoons from 3-4 in Mr. Darnall's room. If you would like your child to attend these services please contact Patricia Murphy at patricia.murphy@marshall.kyschools.us.
Bad Weather Update
If we experience bad weather, tune your radios to WCBL 99.1 FM or watch WPSD News Channel 6 for the latest school start times and closings. School closings are district wide. If Marshall County Schools are dismissed or cancelled, it includes all schools for the district. Please try to make arrangements with your child ahead of time for school dismissing early to clear up any confusion at the time of dismissal.
Graduate Profile
The Marshall County Strategic Planning Committee consisting of teachers, administrators, and students developed our Marshall County Graduate Profile.  A graduate profile consists of skills and competencies that are essential for student success beyond high school.  After reviewing current research and relevant data, the committee identified six Future Ready Competencies (21st Century Skills) that students must possess in order to be prepared for college, career, and life.   All of our schools, K-12, are making instructional changes in order to provide learning opportunities that intentionally equip students with all six competencies.  Please refer to our Deeper Learning page to learn more about our journey.

Mobile Infinite Campus
The Infinite Campus parent Portal is open. If you do not have access or have forgotten how to access the Portal, please contact Mrs. Nancee in the office. You may also use the Infinite Campus Mobile App. For more information visit our school's website.
