We hope your 2014 has gotten off to a great start! We are excited to continue our AIM program year as we AIM High towards healthier lives! Be sure to mark your calendars for our AIM events at the Newton YMCA, our rescheduled holiday party date, and several exciting field trips! See below for details!
AIM events are open to any interested youth between the ages of 13 and 22. If you have not yet participated in our programs, please contact Colleen Endres, MDSC Teen and Adult Services Director, at for registration forms.

AIM Youth Session:
How can I be Healthy in a World Full of Stress?

School, friends, work sports... life is busy! With so much going on, it can be hard to find time to relax. Stress can also get in the way of healthy behaviors. Join us to talk about ways you can take care of yourself, your health, and your well-being. Emily Lamarca, our AIM Health Coach, will visit and has an awesome indoor gardening activity planned. We will also be visited by Emily Davidson of Boston Children's Hospital who will do a yoga session. Please wear comfortable clothes!

AIM Youth Session:
Communicating our Health Needs

It's not always easy to let others know how you feel or what you need. We will learn about different ways people communicate (talking, sign language, technology, body language), and we will practice using different communication skills to help us live a healthy life. We'll event learn how to sign the chorus to a Katy Perry song!
