Concerts on the Bay Presents: Blues by the Bay

Sept. 30, 2017 2:00 - 6:30 pm
Blues legend Rick Estrin & the Nightcats and Elektric Voodoo. $30 for general admission, VIP seating and meet & greets available. To purchase tickets CLICK HERE.

Rick Estrin , according to The San Francisco Chronicle, "is an amazing harmonica player, a soulful lead vocalist and a brilliant songwriter." The award-winning musician, another critic said, "sounds like Little Walter playing and singing Leiber and Stoller." Along with The Nightcats- jaw-dropping guitarist Chris "Kid" Andersen, singing drummer (who plays standing up) J. Hansen and dynamic multi-instrumentalist Lorenzo Farrell (electric and acoustic bass, organ and piano)-Rick Estrin serves up fresh and modern original blues injected with a solid dose of gritty roadhouse rock 'n' roll.

Elektric Voodoo  is a "World Beat Rock & Roll" band from southern California that blends classic afrobeat, latin, rock & roll, psych, jazz, blues and many other influences into it's own unique genre that tastefully straddles the line between modern and vintage.

Concerts on the Bay Presents: Funk by the Bay
Oct. 14, 2017, 2:00 - 6:30 pm
Orgone and Jungle Fire. $30 for general admission, VIP seating and meet & greets available. To purchase tickets CLICK HERE.

Orgone  delivers dirty, organic, California soul with heart; music that grabs you by the collar, pulls you to your feet and shoves you wantingly onto the dance floor. It all started with two kids from the San Fernando Valley, whose shared affinity for gritty soul records of the 60s and 70s collided with the colorful music cultures brewing in Los Angeles during the late 90s. That friendship sparked a movement, and Orgone has been delivering nothing but gold to the funk faithful ever since.

Jungle Fire  digs deep into afro/latin funk music with a highly explosive psychedelic and uniquely Angeleno flavor! "Few bands live up to their name in the way Jungle Fire do; fusing Cumbia, Afrobeat and traditional funk, each Jungle Fire jam blazes the floor with real power" as described by Juno Records UK, best sums up the Jungle Fire live show. Serving up a healthy dose of originals and deep latin/afro funk covers all cooked up together in a live mixtape style set ensuring an energy that is nothing short of fire.

$30 General Admission ($25 for SLO Jazz Festival Members) or $60 VIP (sold as a table of 4 for $240 for General VIP or $200 for Member VIP tables); includes special seating, a "Meet & Greet" and food & wine options. Each concert will include special silent and live auction trips to New Orleans, NYC, and additional items and services, plus $20 wine raffle tickets with a 1 in 100 chance in winning 20 bottles of wine (valued at $25 average) to raise money for the 5th 2018 SLO Jazz Festival and the 2018 Summer Jazz Workshop.
