TVC Adds Dallas/Ft. Worth Service
Thanks to the efforts of  Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) , the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce and other partners, American Airlines will bring summer flight service between Traverse City and the Dallas/Fort Worth area starting in early June.  The Chamber teamed up with airport officials and others, using our resources to help expand our region's air service as we continue to build the area's connectivity across the country.  Learn more in this report from the Traverse City Record-Eagle.
Coalition Readies Transportation Priorities
The  Great Lakes Metro Chamber Coalition is a multi-state organization of local Chambers that includes the Traverse City Area Chamber and the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance. The Coalition works on regional issues at the federal level including transportation and other infrastructure, Great Lakes navigation and water quality, and other topics that impact businesses across the Upper Midwest and the Great Lakes region.
The Coalition is currently seeking input from its member Chambers on its top transportation priorities for 2017 and beyond. If you have ideas or suggestions on specific regional transportation projects in Northern Michigan that warrant the Coalition's consideration, submit them to Chamber Government Relations Director Kent Wood at kentw@tcchamber.org
Alliance Heads to SOS
Members of the  Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance will be in Lansing next week for Governor Rick Snyder's annual State of the State address and other events as state lawmakers get down to business in 2017.
