Local Team Works to Keep Roads Safer
Driving fatalities in MN dropped 55% in the last 14 years, thanks, in part, to our local team working on the Towards Zero Deaths (TDZ) program.
Our police and county team members presented details at the February 26, 2018 City Council meeting.
Remember: Buckle up, pay attention, and don't text while driving!

3 Things You Didn't Know About...
Melissa Baartman
(She'll greet you at the new Community Development Department.)
1.
She's an excellent photographer. Prior to working for the City, Melissa ran her own photography studio for nine years.
2.
She's a Girl Scout leader. Melissa runs a Daisy troop of eight first-graders.
3.
She likes the variety of her job. "No two days are the same," she says. "From building demolitions to potbellied pig licenses, people want answers. It's my job to find them."
