Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

The Eid is fast approaching, so the AAAN would like to propose something this year with regard to the Zakat (charitable donation) that every Muslim is obligated to make.

For those who will be offering your Zakat (not Zakat al-Fitr, but the Zakat that is a percentage of your yearly assets) this Ramadan, we kindly ask that you make this year's donation to the AAAN

This Zakat al-Amwaal may definitely be donated to a community-based non-profit like the AAAN, for we provide free services to the needy and those who cannot always help themselves, and work tirelessly every day for social justice.

And after all, the AAAN is your organization; we are all owners of it, and right now, we are in need of everyone's support. See here what your donation helps to fund.

The AAAN is a big extended family, and its constituents and supporters, like you, number in the thousands.  We could raise a pretty good chunk of change if all of those amongst you whose families normally offer Zakat offer it to the AAAN.

And for those who do not practice the offering of Zakat, you should of course still donate in the spirit of the season!

Make your tax-deductible donation online or mail a check paid to the order of "AAAN" to:

Please forward to your friends and family members as well.

Eid Mubarak

Humbly and in friendship,
