KAA's Annual "June Swoon" Music Event
TONIGHT! Friday, June 16th, 7 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM)
$20 suggested donation
"June Swoon" is KAA's
much anticipated annual music event
featuring Ben Baldwin on sax, K
ent Allyn on piano & guitar, Marty Ballou on bass!
The show will open with a short set by student musicians who have been performing in the First Fridays Open Stage youth music series this year.
This concert is amazing-swing, jump, jazz, & blues-and not to be missed!
Parking is limited. Carpooling highly recommended.

Monday Evening Drumming with John Felice
Come Drum with Us at KAA!
Monday nights, 6:30 to 8:30 PM, at the KAA Gallery
First 6-Week Session: Monday, June 19th through July 24th, with another 6-week session to follow (dates to be announced).
Cost: $60 for one entire 6-week Session, or Single drop-in class fee is $12
Join us at KAA for six fun-filled summer evenings of drum-circle style classes accessible to everyone from "never-ever played any instrument EVER" to the seasoned musician led by John Felice.
John will provide drums, bells, singing stones, boomwhackers and other exotic percussion. Feel free to bring any percussion of your own, even if you don't know what it is. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

John and company will also play at the opening reception for the "Our Town" exhibit at KAA on Sunday, July 23rd, with an open drumming circle after the reception--

If you're a current
KAA member
, consider joining Lisa Alyson and a host of other KAA artists for a sensational summer of Plein Air painting at pristine locations all
along our beautiful New England seacoast.
If you're not yet a member and would like to sample an en Plein Air event before joining KAA, please come for one visit. There is no instruction; all types of artists are welcome.
We meet on Thursday afternoons from 4 to 7.

There's one more Demo coming up with Doris Rice, watercolorist, at Lorna Perry's home on July 6th. There's a small fee for the Demo session, which is just $20.00 for non-members and $15.00 for members.
To cap the season off, there will be an en Plein Air all member show at KAA in October.

Share your Skills and Expertise
We're currently
looking
for volunteers who want to share their knowledge and expertise with other KAA members and possibly propose a program to run at the Kittery Art Association.
Suggestions could include
:
Photography: How to Make an Outstanding Online Photo Book; Tricks for Taking Top-Notch Photos with your iPhone, etc.
Writing: The Joys of Journaling; Penning Poignant Poetry, etc.
Art: Keeping it Simple with Watercolors, Mixed Media Collage, Stenciling, etc.

KAA membership cards include a 20% discount at two local framing shops, D. Pratt Framer, LLC in Kittery, and C.C. Moore Fine Art Framing in Portsmouth. What a deal!
When you receive a mailing from KAA, check the mailing address. Your membership is current through the indicated calendar year. So, if the address includes "#2017" then you are current through December 2017.

The Kittery Art Association, a charitable organization incorporated by the state of Maine, sponsors a variety of public events in support of local artists and writers of all ages.
Membership is $35 and expires each January.
