Art in Motion

Our Philosophy:

Avalon Dance "Art in Motion" program focuses on the whole student. It offers children and young adults the unique opportunity to engage in the art form of dance. Students of this inspiring movement at The Providence foundation will use the art of dance as an expression. "Art in Motion" empowers each student to fuel their "abilities" (no prefix needed).Our students will learn to dance limitlessly instead of with limitations. "Art in Motion" approaches each student as a fingerprint; each unique in their own right and at the end of each year our students will leave not only their fingerprint but their foot print on the dance floor.

Schedule:

Days: Wednesdays

Time: 2: 30 - 3:30 (Beginners)

           3:30-4:30 (Advanced)

Teacher: Miss T

Techniques: We will teach students to dance through "mirroring movements" and effective positioning, with special attention paid to the student's reaction to the sound and or the beat of the music. We will incorporate colors into our classes using the visual reminder to formalize patterns of dance.
