Dash's Week Around Downtown!
Stop 1: The Landmark Theatre Box Office, at 362 South Salina Street ( map)

Dash kicked off his first week of exploration last Monday, with a visit to the Landmark Theatre Box Office. He wanted to be first in line for Friday evening's free showing of Elf.
Stop 2: Cafe Kubal, at 401 South Salina Street ( map

On Tuesday, Dash took a swing from the iconic lights at Cafe Kubal on Salina Street.

Stop 3: Aspen Athletic Club of Downtown Syracuse, at 125 East Jefferson Street ( map)

Wednesday saw Dash pumping iron in the gym. We caught up with him as he was lifting weights at Aspen Athletic Club in Onondaga Tower. He told us he wanted to burn off some extra calories because he was really looking forward to his Thanksgiving feast.

Stop 4: Funk 'n Waffles at 307 South Clinton Street ( map)

On Thursday, Dash was feeling very thankful at Funk 'n Waffles. He devoured the Jive Turkey, a stuffing-based waffle topped with traditional Thanksgiving fixings (turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce!). He had started craving the concoction after watching a recent episode of "Guilty Pleasures" that featured the one-of-a-kind Thanksgiving treat.
Stop 5: Gannon's Isle, at 401 South Salina Street ( map)

Friday brought out Dash's sweet tooth. He ventured to Gannon's Isle where he took a spin in the soft-serve ice cream machine before picking a flavor of homemade ice cream to enjoy. He said he just had to take advantage of the balmy November temperature!

Stop 6: Vintage Love, at 201 East Jefferson Street ( map)

Dash made Santa Claus very happy on Saturday. He made moves on Small Business Saturday, showing up his fellow elves to fill the sleigh through his mission to #ShopSmall. He had so much fun at Vintage Love, exploring the designs of Maeflower's Vintage and Driftwood & Glitter.

Stop 7: Industry, at 258 West Jefferson Street ( map)

In fact, Dash had so much fun (and success!) in his mission to #ShopSmall, he felt the need to take a spa day on Sunday. He enjoyed a facial and massage at Industry Salon

Dash will continue to dash around Downtown Syracuse this week. He will be in a new location every day! You can follow his whereabouts by keeping tabs on the Downtown Committee's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. Email your guesses to [email protected] by 11:59 pm each day. All correct answers will be entered into a weekly drawing to win a free gift certificate ($50 value!), This week, participants can enter to win a free month of membership at Metro Fitness.   Remember, the more times you guess a correct location, the more times you will be entered into the week's drawing. We will recap his adventures for you this week in our Holiday Newsletter next Monday, December 7.
