HDR and the City of Harrisonburg developed a new application and process for organizers who wish to plan events in the City. To streamline the planning and coordination of City services, applications for events are due by March 1. If you need a deadline extension, please email  events@harrisonburgva.gov. Note that applications for rental of the Turner Pavilion, which don't require police or public works support, can be submitted up to 90 days in advance.
Visit our website to download the new application and events guidebook.

Seeking information on the Harris House
While researching the Warren-Sipe House (home of the Virginia Quilt Museum), JMU students discovered the Harris House that used to be next door, but was demolished in 1968. They are seeking help from the public to learn more details about the house - like its interior. If you have information to share e mail harris-houseinformation@gmail.com.
