Congratulations to Little Rock Parks & Recreation Department 
...recognized last week in St. Louis at the National Recreation and Park Association annual conference for "Best of the Best." This year, for the third time, our city's parks department received accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies for its excellence in operation and service. Little Rock Parks & Recreation is the only park agency in the state to be reaccredited and to meet all 151 standards.

Early voting beings Monday, October 24. Downtown voting will take place in the Pulaski County Regional Building, 501 W. Markham, across from City Hall. For hours link here. Need a ride? Rock Region Metro is hosting its first fare-free election day. This includes all rides on METRO buses and streetcars.
 
The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra will host a free concert on Wednesday, November 30, 7 p.m., in the newly-renovated Robinson Performance Hall. This event, a gift to the residents of Little Rock, is sponsored by the Stella Boyle Smith Trust and Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. The concert will allow attendees to hear the acoustical improvements of the music hall as ASO celebrates its homecoming to the Robinson stage. Tickets will be available at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1 on the front steps of the Robinson Center, four tickets per person and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Any remaining tickets can be picked up November 2 at ASO's administrative office in Byrne Hall, 2417 N. Tyler Street beginning at 10 a.m. Mark your calendars!
