Fright Night Returns to Downtown Fort Wayne for 2014!

Fort Wayne's most anticipated Halloween event is bigger and better than ever! The 7th annual Fright Night Downtown is Saturday, October 18th. With over 25 spooktacular activities for people to enjoy throughout the day and evening, Fright Night is a family-friendly event with something for everyone!

Zombie Walk

Zombies Overtake Downtown



When: October 18, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Downtown Fort Wayne

The Zombie Walk starts at 5:30 p.m. at Harrison Street and Wayne Street and walks eastbound!

The Old Jail
Mad Anthony Monster Mix

 


When: October 18
Where: History Center

Visitors will make a Mad Anthony Monster Mix using snacks and candy from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. for $1 plus gen admission and from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., visitors can see the old jail in the basement for $3! The jail may not be suitable for all ages.

Not So Frightening Fun
Children's Craft Making!

 

When: October 18, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Where: ACPL

Halloween Haunt
Free Face Painting & Snacks


When: October 18, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Where: Community Center


Downtown Fort Wayne becomes a haven for monsters, ghosts, vampires and zombies on this Saturday afternoon. Bring your little goblins to the Community Center for an afternoon of frightful family fun. There will be a minimal charge for children's games. You will be able to enjoy free face painting, free snacks and more. Concessions will be available.

Pumpkin Zone
Decorate Your Mini Pumpkin


When:
October 18, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: Botanical Conservatory

 
Enjoy an autumn! Test your observation skills with the Gnome Search, discover whether pumpkins float or sink, nibble on pumpkin seeds, and decorate your own mini pumpkin. Friends from the Allen County Farm Bureau will help us learn about pumpkins and how they grow. Sponsored by Fun 101.7 WLDE.

Spooky Sweets n' Treats

Where: Central City Cafe

 

Stop by Central City Cafe during Fright Night for zombie pretzel fingers, monster cookies, brain cup cakes, dirt pudding, ghoulash, hot chocolate, zombie zin, and zombie dust beer. There will be live music from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. They are located right along the Zombie Walk route. Stop in and grab a seat or enjoy some great food all day long!

Fright Night Blood Drive
Donors Receive Free Ticket


When:
October 18, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Where: Library Plaza

During Fright Night 2014, there will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive. All donors will receive a ticket to Hysterium or the Haunted Castle! They want your blood! Stop by while you're Downtown and donate.

Story Book Theatre
Snow White & the Three Bears 


When: October 18, 2 p.m.

Where: Community Center

"Story Book Theatre" presents "Snow White & the Three Bears" She's lost in the woods, but can't find those dwarfs!  She happens upon some Spanish Speaking bears and learns some manners. This funny spoof includes children's favorites, Stinky Cheese Man, Mother Goose, Rana Azul, and The Dumb Bunnies. Audience participation and free ticket giveaways!

Where: Columbia St. West

 
Wear your Halloween costume out to Columbia Street West on October 18 to celebrate Fright Night and enjoy some great music!
