Recognizing the continued growth of Small Business Saturday, the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC), Capital Region Chamber, and Upper Union Street Business Improvement District (BID) are working together for the third year in a row to drive community awareness of this special day and officially kick off the holiday shopping season for Schenectady's local businesses. Dozens of businesses have created in-store specials and activities for Small Business Saturday, and parking in downtown's public lots and the Broadway garage will be FREE Friday and Saturday. Come support your local businesses and #ShopSmall all season long!

Sounds of a Century - Nov. 27, 3pm GE Theatre - The Schenectady Pipe Band, a Celtic heritage organization based in upstate New York, is proud to announce the celebration of their centennial year. They will present "A Century of Sound" and record their second CD to commemorate the Centennial that afternoon.
