On The Screen

Harry and Snowman - Through December 30
GE Theatre - The story of immigrant Harry DeLeyer and the plow horse he rescued from slaughter.  Purchased in the '50s for $80 from the back of a truck headed for a slaughterhouse,  Snowman is lovingly groomed by rider/trainer deLeyer to become a champion jumper.

The Loving Story - Through December 30
GE Theatre - In 1958, Richard and Mildred Loving were arrested in Virginia for violating that state's laws against interracial coupling. The couple's subsequent struggle for dignity eventually paired them with two young, ambitious lawyers, leading America to a historic landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision on interracial marriage.

Notes on Blindness - January 3-4
GE Theatre - Just days before the birth of his first son, writer and theologian John Hull went blind. In order to make sense of the upheaval in his life, he began keeping an audio diary. British neurologist Oliver Sacks described Hull's work as the most extraordinary account of blindness he had ever read.
