A Great Day for Grand Openings!

Come out this Thursday and welcome two great new businesses to Downtown Schenectady...plus one just  beyond downtown! 

The afternoon of grand openings begins at 4:00pm with Slidin' Dirty at 512 State Street in the renovated Foster Building complex. At 4:30pm, celebrate the official grand opening of  Great Flats Brewing  at 151 Lafayette Street. Then, at 5:00pm, the new Homewood Suites by Hilton at 2A Freemans Bridge Road cuts the ribbon.

If you plan to make the rounds to all three events, the brand new Electric City Trolley will be available to transport you between locations for free. The trolley will then return to previous locations to drop you back off.

The  Capital District Transportation Authority - CDTA's  new Electric City Trolley  is the best way to get around Downtown Schenectady, connecting you with Mohawk Harbor, dining, shopping, lodging and entertainment . This FREE service operates on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 4pm-1am. The trolley will provide service to 13 different stops every 20 minutes.  ROUTE MAP
