Hometown Heroes
Banner Program 2017
The DSIC and City of Schenectady are seeking sponsors for our third annual Hometown Heroes Banner Program. Banners honor active duty or veteran servicemembers and will be displayed on light poles in downtown from late May through mid-November. This year, the program has expanded to include eligible honorees from across Schenectady County. Sponsorship commitments are due by Friday, April 7.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Downtown!
 
The Luck o' the Irish is sure to be with you when you choose to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Downtown Schenectady! Businesses are rolling out the "green" carpet beginning this weekend with parties, specials, and more.

March 10, 7:30pm - The Irish Comedy Tour takes the party atmosphere of a Dublin pub and combines it with a belly-laugh band of hooligans.

March 11 -  Kegs 'n Eggs beginning at 8am, with a special breakfast  buffet. Block Party begins at 6pm under our heated tent with music from Patrick Sharrow, Grand Central Station, and 2096. 

March 11 -  The fun kicks off at Noon. Featuring music from Kevin McKrell, Screaming Orphans, and Kilmaine Saints. Grassroots Rebels will play between sets. Food and drink specials, bagpipers, & the Guinness Girls.

March 11 -  Corned beef specials and Irish drink specials throughout the day. Music from The Getdown at 9pm.
March 17 -  Food and drink specials. Music from Joel Fisher, 5-8pm, and TS Ensemble, 9pm-1am. NCAA games on all TVs.

March 16, 7:30pm - Pre-St. Patrick's Day Party with Hair of the Dog.

March 16 & 17 - Irish soda bread and St. Patrick's themed cupcakes.
