    Choose the Colonial or the Victorian Tour, or come two nights and try them both! The museum will be open after each tour for you to see the exhibits, enjoy some refreshments and hear live old- time music from local musicians. Please remember to bring a flashlight with you!

Come in and take a pic of yourself enjoying a Vegan dish and post it on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter with #DayOfTheVegan, and we'll choose two winners to receive either a DOTV T-shirt or a sugar skull screen print poster signed by the artist.

Cell Phone Audio Walking Tours in Downtown

Stockade Historic District - Take a self-guided tour of the  Stockade Historic District , New York State's first designated Historic District, and hear unique stories about the architecture and people who helped shape Schenectady's 350+ year history.

Erie Canal - Explore the  Erie Canal  through 14 mobile audio stops. Discover the history and innovation that made the canal possible and how this technology impacted the lives of Schenectady residents.

Explore the museum with a spell-binding scavenger hunt, encounter aliens with hourly Challenger Adventure missions, learn about the things that go bump in the night in the planetarium, and gasp at the mystical properties of dry ice.
