Dear Friends,
Every year in February, we celebrate the birthday of Troy Night Out. This year, we are celebrating 5 years of monthly TNO events. It's funny - TNO is such a part of our Downtown, I can hardly recall a time when the event didn't happen! I am looking forward to the warmer months, when we will once again have lots of outdoor TNO activities.
I am also looking forward to some great new events the BID is hosting and helping with. These events include a commercial real estate open house and prospective new business day in May, and a Brooklyn style flea market called 'Troy Flea'. Troy Flea will feature vintage clothing, antique furniture and handmade artisan vendors every Saturday in June, July and August to River Street.
It is an exciting time here in Downtown Troy! Spring feels right around the corner, we have new projects, new businesses, building energy. Come and experience Troy for yourself! I look forward to seeing you here soon.

Tech Valley Start-up Weekend
March 2nd - 4th
Grand Slam Alley Accelerator
500 Federal Street, 4th Floor, Troy
Start-up Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs. The weekend events are centered on action, innovation, and education. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through testing, business model development, and basic prototype creation, Start-up Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos to a panel of potential investors and local entrepreneurs. Participants are challenged with building functional start-ups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. For more information or to register, visit: www.techvalley.startupweekend.org
