The staff of the Oklahoma Water Resources Board's (OWRB) Water Quality Programs Division is currently undertaking an interim revision of the Oklahoma Water Quality Standards (OWQS) (OAC 785:45) and Implementation of the OWQS (OAC 785:46).  Projects currently planned for the 2017-2018 interim rulemaking are included in the attached letter.   OWRB staff invites stakeholders to attend several public meetings to discuss the proposed revisions. The meeting location and times are outlined below.

  • Proposed methylmercury criteria
  • Proposed addition of BLM to copper site-specific criteria derivation process
  • Proposed copper site specific criteria for Idabel Public Works Authority municipal wastewater discharge
  • Solicitation of public comment
Wednesday October 25, 2017, 1:00 P.M.
  • Final draft proposed standards
  • Final draft proposed implementation rules
  • Solicitation of public comment
The stakeholder meetings will be followed by formal public participation, which will begin in December 2017, and a subsequent public hearing process. We look forward to working with all stakeholders throughout the 2017-2018 interim revision to the OWQS.
