Drip GRIP Announcement
Good afternoon, all!
The Oklahoma Water Resources Board is currently undertaking an interim revision to the Oklahoma Water Quality Standards (OWQS).  Because you are a member of our stakeholder mailing list, you should have received notice in late July of our scheduled informal stakeholder meetings  and proposed changes to the OWQS.  Our first meeting was held on September 7th  at which staff discussed surface water antidegradation implementation, the determination and use of assimilative capacity, and Sensitive Water Supply-Reuse implementation.   The presentation materials, as well as the 2017-2018 rulemaking schedule, are currently available on the OWRB website at: http://www.owrb.ok.gov/util/rules/wqs_revisions.php.
Upcoming, the OWRB water quality staff has scheduled several additional stakeholder meetings.  However, several changes and a cancellation have been made to the meeting schedule.  Please, note the following meeting changes as outlined below!
The September 26, 2017 has been cancelled!  Proposed revision topics planned for discussion have been moved to the October 10th informal stakeholder meeting.
The remaining informal stakeholder meetings and topics for discussion include:

  • Proposed antidegradation rules for groundwater
  • Proposed groundwater attenuation rules

  • Proposed copper site specific criteria for Idabel Public Works Authority municipal wastewater discharge.
  • Solicitation of public comment
Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 1-3 P.M.

Again, please note meeting cancellations, time changes, and topics for discussion.  If you have any questions, please contact me at the number or email below!   As always, the OWRB appreciates your involvement in our process and looks forward to seeing you in October!
