Honorary Powerful Voice Award
Presented to Mo'ne Davis!
We are very excited to announce that Philadelphia's own Mo'ne Davis, breakout star of the Little League World series, will be among the honorees at this year's Powerful Voice Awards! Mo'ne has energized our region and shattered tired stereotypes of what it is to "throw like a girl." She is both an incredible role model here in Philadelphia and an advocate for girls empowerment around the world.

Lucretia Mott Award Honoree:

This year, we will present the prestigious Lucretia Mott Award to Former Congresswoman Allyson Y.Schwartz!

Allyson Y. Schwartz is a trailblazing leader who has dedicated her career to serving the best interests of women and children and ensuring security, opportunity and justice for all. She was only the third woman elected to the PA State Senate and served for a decade in Congress, most of that time, as the only woman in the state's 20 member delegation. Her expertise and involvement in health policy included her leadership role in the passage of the Affordable Care Act in Congress and her role as architect and steward of the CHIP program in PA.

Throughout her career, she consistently voted in favor of equal pay, paid maternity leave, initiatives to prevent and support victims of gender-based violence, coverage and funding for family planning, and LGBT rights. Prior to holding elected office, Schwartz was founder and director of the Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center for Women, one of the original WOMEN'S WAY agencies. Most recently, Schwartz joined the Center for American Progress as a Senior Fellow.
