2017 Pet Calendar Photo Contest Winners

We were overwhelmed with the response to this year's pet photo contest and it is never easy to decide because for us, every animal is a winner!
Thanks to your submissions (212 were received in total) and support, we were able to raise over $18,000 for the homeless animals and programs of Suncoast Humane Society!

Belle was a 14 month resident of the Suncoast Humane Society, & this picture represents her favorite activity.
She is one perfect kitty, & one very special addition to our furry family ♡

Gigi
was named after my late chocolate lab nicknamed "good girl". Well it took many years to earn that title! Now she's a special needs dog. Suffering from epilepsy, two knee surgeries and the latest facial paralysis. She is the best girl in the world still exuberant and full of life! Nothing holds her back.

Mo and Max are Himalayan flame point brothers from different families.
They are best friends and love being with each other.
|
|
|
|
|
Quinn (seated) and Cooper (laying down) are Goldendoodles. Although their mothers were sisters, and are both lovely animals, they couldn't be more different in personality.
Quinn was highly intelligent, could understand many words, was independent and curious.
Cooper is very sweet, extremely obedient, and just loves to cuddle.
Unfortunately, shortly after this photo was taken, we lost Quinn to Cancer. He put up a 3 1/2 year fight, and sure taught us a lot about courage.
His quality of life during his battle was excellent, as you can see from the photo. We miss Quinn, dearly, and thought there is no better way to honor his memory, and celebrate all animals, than by helping support the Suncoast Humane Society.

Gracie lets us dress her up for holidays.....it doesn't bother her at all......she's our sweet Gracie Girl.....

I adopted Spencer from Suncoast humane society and he has brought so much joy to our home.
|
|
|

Bridget loves to be cradled in her Daddy's hand. She snuggles in for a good head and neck massage. Bridget will stay there and fall asleep until her Daddy "misbehaves". Then she gives him a little nip to return his attention to her massage.

Manny is a local celebrity! His Instagram name is @mannythesammy he loves Boca Grande and the beaches there. He even enjoys the occasional golf cart ride!
He is a Samoyed, aka a Russian sled dog, but he loves to swim like a polar bear!

Moe and
Larry came from Suncoast Humane Society. They are very special and sweet boys. They've bonded with their new Mommy, namely me, in record time. Rats are incredibly entertaining, especially in a swimming pool. Just don't plan on swimming laps without a hitchhiker!
Nothing like trying to breathe with two rats on your head. These boys are truly a blessing. I am very grateful Suncoast called for me to adopt them.

Meeko is a 13 year old rescue Pit Bull that I got for my daughter when she was 4 yrs old. No, they are not dangerous dogs if they are loved and cared for. Although she was spade right away, Meeko has always been the "in charge" mother dog. She likes to take care of other animals with diligence.

Moriah began life as a feral kitty.
This is her fifth year in the calendar.
