NOVEMBER 21, 2017
Our latest Kickstarter has been going strong, but we still have one more day to reach the last of our goals! Check out the details below, along with the latest news from Goodman Games!
WHAT'S UP WITH GOODMAN GAMES
Last Call for Dungeon Alphabet!
Black Friday has come and gone for 2017, but the echo of it lives on in the Dungeon Alphabet 4th Printing Kickstarter! You can get on board and get the new printing of Dungeon Alphabet at an amazing 40% off the cover price, as well as get ahold of one of the Kickstarter Special Editions—but you have to act NOW! This Kickstarter ends TOMORROW!

So, if you are wanting to get ahold of The Dungeon Alphabet, The Monster Alphabet, or one of the amazing stretch goals, like The Leather Edition, this is your last chance!

E is for Ends! T is for Tomorrow! A is for Act! N is for Now! If put them all together it spells…ETAN. Okay, ignore that part. Instead, pay attention to the message!

Get on over to Kickstarter and get in on the Dungeon Alphabet 4th Printing campaign while you still can!
Catching Up on Black Friday Sales!
We were quite literally overwhelmed with the response to our  Black Friday Sale. Most orders have already shipped, but please be aware that there may be a small shipping delay (approximately one week) on the last batch. What we are doing is borderline yeti abuse, but we do it out of love. We’re shipping as fast as we can!
Spanish DCC Publishers
Win Rolea Award!
We are proud to announce that  Clásicos del Mazmorreo (the Spanish version of Dungeon Crawl Classics) has received the “ Rolea 2017 game of the year” award! This award is given to the best RPG that was released in Spain since the previous Rolea Con, as decided by a jury of experts.

On top of that,  Marineros del Mar sin Estrellas (the Spanish version of Sailors of the Starless Sea) was nominated for the “Rolea 2017 adventure of the year award.” Rolea is the biggest RPG-only con in Spain, and the 2017 convention ran from the 16th to the 19th of November. The physical manifestation of the award in this dimension, a pink beholder of utmost elegance, was duly offered to Bobugbubilz, Azi Dahaka and Sezrekan, our patrons.

Other Selves publishes an entire line of Spanish language DCC RPG books and adventures, as well as a great line of English language third party products for DCC. Be sure to check out the full story on Other Selves and the Rolea Award!
New Year’s Evil Holiday Module!
Are you looking for some holiday fun? Do you want to ring in the new year in the most over-the-top manner possible? Get ready for  Xcrawl, the live-on-pay-per-view death sport RPG, now powered by the unstoppably old-school  Dungeon Crawl Classics rules! And this holiday season,  Xcrawl is breaking open a bottle of over-the-top dungeon crawl insanity, and serving it up for some  New Year’s Evil

New Year’s Evil is the new holiday-themed level-2 module for  Xcrawl and the  Dungeon Crawl Classics game system, releasing on December 15th. Remember to use wisely and always have a designated run-away-it’s-going-to-kill-us-all’er. That’s what a no-go door is for, after all.

Nunc est bacchandum atque Xcrawl ludendum!
Adventures in Fiction:
Poul Anderson
The fantasy genre has had many people who influenced not only the fiction genre, but also served as the basis for the very concept of fantasy role-playing games. Among those folks, one of the most prolific and influential was Poul Anderson.

Goodman Games’ own Michael Curtis took the time to sit down and write about this man and his work, and he has shared it with us—and we in turn share it with you. Here’s an excerpt:

“Poul Anderson was a prolific author who penned almost two hundred short stories and novels that ran the gamut from science fiction to fantasy to historical fiction to non-fiction during his lifetime. The seven-time Hugo Award winner was renowned for his exploration of politics and social issues in his stories, and for his larger-than-life heroes who seemed to fail as often as they succeeded. However, among gamers, Anderson is more wildly known for inspiring some of the foundations of  Dungeons & Dragons.”

Michael’s insight and love of Anderson’s work comes shining through. Head on over and read the latest of our Adventures in Fiction series!
Interview with the Warehouse Yeti!
To help make up for the Black Friday shipping abuse of our warehouse yeti, we gave him a moment in our spotlight. It was either that or face an all-out yeti-riot. (Side note: Yeti Riot would be a great band name….)

Brendan LaSalle sat down with the head of our warehouse, Keith Labaw, to talk about games, shipping, go karts, what it’s like to have a last name that starts with “La,” and many other things. Including what it’s like to be a yeti among men. Keith stands a mere 6’7” and it is what has helped earn his “yeti” nickname.

Get a glimpse inside the shipping side of things!
Blast From The Past:
An Interview With Doug Kovacs!
One of the most influential figures at Goodman Games has been the man who helped to shape the visual style of Dungeon Crawl Classics: Mr. Doug Kovacs.

We found an old interview with Doug from the pages of Meeple Monthly, the monthly magazine from ACD Distribution.

See what Doug had to say when interviewed by the man, Joseph Goodman, himself!
