Join us for this daylong celebration of Durham Region’s creative economy, showcasing our rich culture and history, dynamic attractions, and innovative business community. Members of the public from Durham Region and beyond are invited to discover all Durham has to offer through an interactive marketplace of tradeshow booths, culinary samplings, arts, culture and heritage displays, presentations and more. Don’t miss the Tourism Industry Speaker Series (including keynote speaker Robin Sharma) and Artisan’s Alley. The day will wrap up with the presentation of the inaugural Art of Transition Creative Awards.

Celebrate First Fridays at the RMG
This Friday, Nov. 4, celebrate local culture at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa. First Fridays is a free monthly event in which the gallery buzzes with live musical performances, interactive art experiences, open gallery spaces, social mingling and more. Featured on Nov. 4 is UOIT/Durham College campus club HER (Hip Hop in its Essence and Realness), and award-winning dance team, The Geek Freaks. The Oshawa Power Basketball season begins on Nov. 3 at the General Motors Centre. The National Basketball League of Canada team is led by former NBA player Mark Strickland, head coach.
