We are proud to be working with American Legion Post 237 to host the Chamber's upcoming
Mixer at the Veteran's Hall in downtown Pleasanton on
Wednesday, February 10, from 5pm to 7pm to help raise awareness and funds for a very special project.
The veteran's community of Pleasanton has joined together with the City of Pleasanton to construct a Veterans Memorial in the Pioneer Cemetery.
In short, the City generously allocated land for the memorial within the cemetery. Pleasanton residents Nancy and Gary Harrington graciously provided seed money for the project, and the Veteran community, led by American Legion Post 237, committed to raise the majority of the funds to construct the project.
As always the mixer will include food, drink and networking, but this special evening will include an opportunity to talk with organizers, view renderings of the memorial and learn first-hand how to participate in this solemn, lasting tribute to Pleasanton's veterans.
I hope to see you next week at the Vet's hall.
