Christmas Cantata December 10th:
Christmas music is a real treasure for both the ear and the heart. The choir and the orchestra has really been enjoying working on the Christmas Cantata. We are looking forward to presenting it during both morning worship services on Sunday December 10th. We will celebrate the joy and hope of Christmas with "A Tapestry of Light" by Joseph M. Martin. Inspired by the rich heritage of "Celtic" Christmas music, this choral tapestry tells the Christmas story using familiar carols and folk songs, narration, and lighting of candles. You won't want to miss this!
Handbell News:
The handbell choir is excited to be playing "Carol of the Bells" for the Christmas Eve services. We are also looking forward to attending the Handbell Musicians of America Area 5 Spring Festival/workshop in April. We could still use another ringer or two, so if you are interested let me know.

Angel Tree
Now that all the Angels are gone from the Angel Tree, you are invited to decorate the tree with mittens, socks, hats, and underwear to be distributed to local school children to help keep them warm during the cold winter months.  Please remember that Angel Tree gifts are due this Sunday, December 10.
Advent Missions Candle
Beginning yesterday, the 1st Sunday in Advent, we have a candle burning on the Communion Table for missions. For each dollar donated, the candle will remain lit one hour. Candle donations will support Living Hope High School, Bungoma, Kenya, which was begun by Marilyn Uhl, a WV United Methodist. An $88/month sponsorship gives an orphan an opportunity in the name of Jesus Christ, raising and educating Christian leaders of tomorrow. Let's keep the candle burning during Advent and the 12 days of Christmas. Mark your check or envelope "candle". ( Thanks to your generosity of $200 raised to date, the candle will stay lit until Monday, December 11, 8:00 a.m.
