New Accompanist/Organist - Mike Barnhouse
Mike Cartwright, Chair of Staff-Parish Relations Committee, announced yesterday that Mike Barnhouse will be begin soon as the new Accompanist/Organist. Mike previously served as Music Minister at FB from 1999 - 2006. Since then he has been Accompanist at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, Charleston, and Charleston Baptist Temple. Mike is a graduate of Ripley High School, Glenville, and Marshall. He resides in Hurricane with his wife Donna and son Christian. Grown children are Caitlin, Carrie, Ryan, and Cheyne. He teaches private lessons and has published and recorded. His most recent CD, "Awakened", won the award for Best New Artist, Enlightened Piano Radio. We are excited to welcome Mike back to the FB family.

The dinner menu for this Wednesday, October 11, Breakfast! Bacon/sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits, hash brown casserole, and cinnamon rolls.  Dinner is served from 5:15-6:00 p.m.  A weekly sign up for meals is at the Connection Center, or call the church office to RSVP by noon on Mondays (304-562-5903).  Cost is $6 adults, $5 children under 12.  No family pays more than $20.

Grief Ministry Group
Good Grief, led by Robbie Parsons and Beth Sauvageot, meets Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., in Room 111. This 8-week support and ministry group is for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Participant books, Beyond the Broken Heart , are available at the Connection Center. Invite others to come with you who may benefit from such a group.
Flu Shot Clinic - October 22
Fruth Pharmacy will visit Forrest Burdette for their annual flu shot clinic on Sunday, October 22, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Please bring a copy of your insurance card.  Visit Fruth Pharmacy in Hurricane if you have any questions about insurance, forms, or out-of-pocket payment.
Young Adult Lunch in Huntington
Attention Marshall University, Mountwest Community & Technical College, and Huntington area young adults! We will be having lunch together at Fat Patty's (Downtown:  1935 3rd Ave, Huntington) on T hursday, October 26th, from 12:00-1:00 p.m.!  Mark your calendars now!
Baby Bottle Boomerang
Thanks to those who donated to the Women's Choice Pregnancy Center; you contributed an amazing $2,269.74! This money will be used to provide free ultrasounds and consultations by a nurse. Please return all bottles to the office if you have not already done so. There are other ways you can help throughout the year, if you choose: volunteer to answer the phone, work in the children's clothes closet, host a baby shower. Children's Outreach Ministries
COM (Children's Outreach Ministries)  currently has spaces available for early ed. and after school students. Please contact COM at 304-562-9170, or visit our website ( for registration information (see the upper right corner of our homepage).

Construction Update
This week the crew has continued working on the landscaped areas, preparing for paving on the west side, lighting, vents for the HVAC, bathroom vents, and sheetrock in the entrance area. Things are moving well and in a positive direction. They continue to do great work.
