 March 5, 2018

Thanks to John Marra and the Stewards of Fellowship Sunday School Class for the Spaghetti Luncheon yesterday to raise funds for the summer Youth Mission trip. Class members came on Saturday to set up and stayed on Sunday to take down tables, set up for the preschool, and clean up.  Our youth did a great job serving the drinks, salads, spaghetti, bread, and dessert.  It was a day of good food and fellowship and an opportunity to see the much needed kitchen renovations.  Thanks to Thomas Copley, site foreman, and the Riedel-Wilks work crew for completing the kitchen work so it could be used. The remainder of the outside work on the exterior wall and additional entrance depend on good weather. I appreciate your continued financial support of the project. Your vision and faithfulness today will reap a great harvest in the future for Jesus Christ.
Grace & freedom,
PipeSounds Silent Movie: This Friday!

Please click here for the Lenten order form that includes both Easter lilies and chocolate Easter eggs. 7" lilies (double) are $18.50 and may be taken home after the Easter service.  Plants may be given in memory or in honor of loved ones, or a donation may be given to the building fund instead of purchasing a plant. UMW chocolate eggs are $3.50 each and are available in milk, dark, or white chocolate in all 5 flavors: cherry nut, coconut, maple nut, peanut butter, or vanilla.  Egg orders will be ready on March 24.

What If?
Each week posted on the West Virginia Annual Conference website are videos where Dr. Barry Steiner Ball speaks with different people across the West Virginia Conference whose lives have been affected by substance use disorder. With the video is a brief statement which includes a reflection and questions for discussion. The third video is an interview with Melissa White who is raising her granddaughter. Go to and click on "What If?"
UMW Pecans & Spring Festival
Pecans and chocolate pecans are available for $10.00 during office hours.  Also, for applications to have a space for the Spring Festival (March 24), contact Karen Lilly, 304-562-9241 or the church office, 304-562-5903, or click here to download the application. The crafts and books will be in the gym, and eggs and food will be in the fellowship hall.
Construction Update
This week the kitchen is progressing along with the tile flooring complete and with most of the cabinets set in both the new and old areas. Most of the wiring is complete upstairs in Byrd Hall and awaiting inspection, and then they will hang sheetrock. The piers for the new canopy have been poured and will progress forward when the weather improves. Forward progress to serve in the future.
