It was a Spirit and grace filled time as we gathered in the Family Life Center yesterday for the 8:30 a.m. worship service. With the power off in the sanctuary and fellowship hall we quickly had to adapt. Like busy bees, folks carried chairs, hymnals, a keyboard, PA equipment, and everything we needed in a short time, and by 8:40 the Family Life Center was transformed into our alternate worship space! Everyone joined in the effort with a joyful "can do" attitude. Bulletins and hymnals became a necessity as there were no screens on the wall. Folks sat beside different faces. And, when worship concluded, the congregation again banded together to put everything back in place, and soon the Family Life Center was empty again and the lights were turned out. As the problem was resolved, the 11 a.m. service took place in the sanctuary as usual.
I was particularly proud of our congregation yesterday. When confronted with a need you banded together and overcame a challenging situation. You have truly been "blessed to be a blessing", and it became evident again yesterday.

Grace & freedom,
Ellis
