Psalm 105:2
Sing to Him, Sing Praise to Him, tell of all His wonderful acts.
A few great reasons to join the choir:
*you don't have to win American Idol or The Voice to be in the choir.
You probably knew that already, but a lot of you think you're not a good enough singer to be a part of the Choir. Believe me...YOU ARE. I know that without even hearing you! One of most amazing things about choir ministry is how God takes a bunch of voices-some strong and some not as strong-and blends them together to create beautiful music that honors and glorifies Him.
*you don't have to have a music degree to be in the choir.
You probably knew that one, too. But, did you know that a lot of current choir members don't read music? If that's been what's kept you from joining, then your non-choir days are OVER! Here's what you come to choir rehearsal and sit next to someone who reads well. All you have to do then is LISTEN, and you're home free. You'll be amazed what you can learn by just planting yourself in the middle of the music.
The choir is full of some of the greatest folks I know. Many of my closest friends are members of the Forrest Burdette Choir. Singing and worshiping together is a great way to build meaningful friendships.
There is no doubt that singing is one of the best vehicles we have to worship God. Singing with believers who love Him and His music as much as you do is one of greatest things you'll ever experience. I hope to see you soon at choir rehearsal, Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.

Annual John Marra Spaghetti Fundraiser
The Stewards of Fellowship Sunday School Class is sponsoring a Uth mission trip fundraiser featuring John Marra's Famous Spaghetti THIS Sunday, March 4, beginning @ 11:00 a.m., in the fellowship hall. The menu includes: homemade spaghetti with meatballs; Clarksburg Italian bread; salad with special Italian dressing; spumoni ice cream; and drinks. What If?
Each week posted on the West Virginia Annual Conference website are videos where Dr. Barry Steiner Ball speaks with different people across the West Virginia Conference whose lives have been affected by substance use disorder. With the video is a brief statement which includes a reflection and questions for discussion. The third video is an interview with Melissa White who is raising her granddaughter. Go to and click on "What If?"
Uth Bowling: This Saturday!
We've felt the heat this winter and unfortunately will not be able to go Snow Tubing/Skiing/Snowboarding on March 3rd as planned. But have no fear, for we are still going to hang out and have fun together that day!
Middle & High School UTH : Join us for Strike Zone Bowling on March 3 rd, from 11:15-2:30 (bowling reserved from 12-2). Please bring $5 for bowling (will include pizza!) and any money you want to bring for the arcade (Ms. PAC Man not included).
PipeSounds Presents:
The upcoming PipeSounds program will feature the silent movie classic "Steamboat Bill, Jr." starring Buster Keaton, on Friday, March 9 , at 7:00 p.m. We are excited to welcome Clark Wilson as our guest organist for this event. Adults $10; students & children free.
Lenten Bows
Remember to take home a Lenten purple bow to hang on your door, lamppost, or mailbox to designate your home as a Forrest Burdette household during the Lenten season.  Bows are available in the Narthex of the church.
UMW Pecans & Spring Festival
Pecans and chocolate pecans are available for $10.00 during office hours.  Also, for applications to have a space for the Spring Festival (March 24), contact Karen Lilly, 304-562-9241 or the church office, 304-562-5903, or click here to download the application. The crafts and books will be in the gym, and eggs and food will be in the fellowship hall.
2018 Disciplines
Upper Room Disciplines for 2018 (daily devotional guides) are available for $5 at the Connection Center.
Construction Update
This week the construction team has made great progress with the kitchen remodeling. They are finishing the sheetrock and have a portion of the new cabinetry set. Additionally, they have the quarry tile in place in the existing kitchen floor, and it looks exceptional. The outside work has started with the block work and will progress into next week, putting the finishing touches on Byrd Hall if the weather cooperates. Forward progress to serve in the future.
