SUMMER WORSHIP
- The Thursday Night Service returns! A casual "come as you are" worship service begins at
7:00pm
in the Sanctuary. This is a great opportunity, especially for those who plan on being out of town on the weekends!

THE BENSON FAMILY SINGERS
will be giving a
Gospel Concert at St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School, Hawthorn Woods, Illinois on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
The Benson Family Singers
are a family music group from Faribault, Minnesota. Peter and Rachelle, along with their four sons, David, Aaron, Luke, and Paul have a unique ministry consisting of barbershop, bluegrass, and gospel music. They specialize in tight, a cappella harmonies and also play a variety of instruments, including guitar, banjo, bass, violin, and mandolin. Together they have performed for many shows, festivals, fairs, churches, and private events throughout the Midwest.

2020 EUROPEAN TRIP & OBERAMMERGAU
is
an 11 Day Classic Classic European Tour (September 20-30, 2020) which will include Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, Nurnberg, Rothenburg, Heidleberg, a Rhine River Cruise, the Neuschwanstein Castle and culminating in Oberammergau for the 2020 production of the Passion Play.
The Passion Play is produced by the citizens of the Village of Oberammergau every ten years in thanksgiving to the Lord for keeping the Black Plague away from them ever since 1634.

FACILITY REQUEST

Just a friendly note to ask all groups and organizations to please fill out a facility request for your activities. This information assists us in the set up, programming of the electronic doors and the safety of all involved.
CHRISTIAN OUTREACH OF LUTHERANS (COOL) -
A food pantry for some of the neediest families in Lake County. Please bring a can of food/box of cereal with you when you worship and place them in Luther Hall. Thanks for helping those in need.
June food item: canned fruit. Bread For Life Sunday will be June 24.
HELPING HANDS MINISTRY
of St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School (formerly called the Pastor’s Poor Fund, then Benevolent Fund) is intended to provide critical emergency financial support. Please contact one of the Pastors if such support is needed. Contributions to this ministry are also welcome.

NATIONAL LUTHERAN YOUTH GATHERING
-
Held every 3 years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity. The next Gathering will be held on July 11-15, 2019 in Minneapolis, MN. During the five days of the Gathering, youth spend time together in God’s word, worship, service, and fellowship with others from across the synod.
If you - or your youth - is interested in going and will be 14 years old at the time of the Gathering OR entering his or her ninth grade year at the time of the Gathering - sign up in Luther Hall or contact Pastor Blonski.

in Luther Hall. Enjoy a movie in your PJ's as we partner with LOVE Inc. in making blankets for children in Lake County who do not have beds.

“FORE” the Kids event will be held on

at Renwood Golf Course in Round Lake Beach. Donations of goods and services for Raffle baskets and Hole Sponsorships are now being accepted. Golfer registration and sponsorship forms are available in the school office.
