Child Welfare
Today, ZERO TO THREE and Child Trends released a new report presenting findings from a 2013 survey of state child welfare agencies about their policies and practices for addressing the needs of infants and toddlers who've been maltreated. Changing the Course for Infants and Toddlers: A Survey of State Child Welfare Policies and Initiatives finds that the one-size-fits-all approach adopted by most states does not work in meeting the unique developmental needs of many of the 200,000 infants and toddlers who come into contact with the child welfare system each year.

Learn what this means for schools, parents, and their children in our latest blog post.
