Come Sunday and Bring a Friend!
Join us at 9AM and 11AM as Pastor Baker resumes our Reconcile series with a message: "When Conflict Burns."
Prayer for World Communion Sunday, Oct. 1st, from Bishop Ward

Eternal God, we give thanks for your creative and generous love. You created and called the universe and all people good.

On this World Communion Sunday, we pray for all of our sisters and brothers around the world. Help us to see the image of God in each and every person so that we do not ignore the needs of any. Bind us together as a human family, offering honor and dignity to   every soul, even those we have called our enemies, even when it is hard to love.

We pray for those facing difficulty and uncertainty: for those suffering from floods and wind and fire, for those facing separation or deportation from loved ones, and for those who live without loving companionship or the sense of being loved by you.

Use us, as United Methodists, to be the embodiment of inclusive love, with Jesus as our example. Use us to share sacrificial mercy and grace to the whole world through the power of the Holy Spirit.
In unity, compassion and hope, we pray. Amen.

Off to a Great Start
FUMCG helped South Graham Elementary teachers get off to a great start this school year with a "Start Right Kit" for every classroom. Our Vacation Bible School children raised money to donate snacks and classroom supplies for these Start Right Kits. Then, our Praise Kids packed plastic tote boxes with tissues, paper towels, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, glue sticks, Ziplock bags, and snacks and delivered the kits to each classroom, creating a wonderful surprise for teachers on their first day back at school.

The C4C Team has been hearing from teachers all over the school, each expressing appreciation for all that FUMCG is doing at SGE. From the hands and hearts of our FUMCG children to the hard work of our faithful adult volunteers, we are helping teachers and students get the school year started right!
