CREDO 2017
Dear Christ Church family and friends,

Welcome Charles Ananda Plank!  Charles was born
July 11, 2017 at 3:50 p.m. He is named for Aidan's grandfather (Charles Andrews Plank) and Charlotte's grandfather whom she never met (Charles McCandless Evans). Charlotte and Aidan plan to call him Charlie. He also shares the initials of Aidan's grandfather, who passed away in December. Charlie weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces, and happens to share his birthday with Charlotte's Uncle David Shenk.  As the collage above shows, Mother, Father and Grandparents Steven and Katherine are all thrilled to have this addition to their family. We look forward to welcoming him at Christ Church when he is able to travel! Thanks be to God!

Peace and joy be yours today!

Help Outfit Bellwether Farm in memory of Marty Lancaster. A matching challenge issued by the Mission Endowment Board.

Bellwether Farm, the new camp, retreat, and education center of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, will provide a place for discovery, leadership development, and experiential learning through sustainable farming, food production, and care of the environment.

The goal of Bellwether Farm is to equip children and adults to be informed, inspired, and empowered leaders for a sustainable future. This new center, situated on a 137-acre campus in Wakeman Ohio, is a model of green technology featuring passive buildings, renewable energy, and water reclamation systems.

It will be a vehicle through which we can teach the wider community about fidelity to the environment, nutrition, physical and spiritual wellness, local food sourcing, food justice, and sustainable living.

Perhaps you have received a catalogue from the Bishop's office titled "Outfitting Bellwether Farm"

The Mission Endowment Board has issued a #whatsyour200 matching challenge to the people of Christ Church to raise funds in memory of Marty Lancaster for the purpose of helping to outfit Bellwether Farm.

The challenge will run from July 1 - October 31st. The MEB will match every $200 raised through contributions to Christ Church from parish members and friends (up to $1000). All contributions small and great will add up.  Each time we reach the benchmark of $200, the MEB will match that number with an additional $200 (up to $1000 total) On all Saint's Sunday we will announce how much has been collected and how that contribution will be used at Bellwether Farm to honor Marty's memory.

Please make checks payable to Christ Church and memo them MEB/Bellwether Farm.

If you have questions please speak with James Howsmon, Daria Grimes, Mary Lynne Grove, Nicki Memmott, Jonathon Field, Lindsay Graves, or Fr. Brian Wilbert.

Construction Update!
While we cannot yet drive on the newly poured north driveway we are now able to walk on the concrete so access to the parish hall lift and Chapel Grove is possible!

If you haven't yet been in the parish hall to see the new cooler in the kitchen or the new refrigerators and freezer in the back please do so and give thanks to God for the addition of these appliances which will assist us in our feeding ministry!

And because the Church mouse was not present last Sunday Thank you to everyone who helped put back the tables and chairs so that our community meals program could start back up again this week!

Thanks for your prayers!
One-eyed Parson
The cataract removal and lens replacement on my left eye was a success. I have 20/20 distance vision in that eye.  By the time most of you read this edition of the E-note the same will have been accomplished on my right eye--hopefully with the same result! While the recovery period is quite fast, I will have to wait about three weeks until I am able to be fitted with a pair of prescription eyeglasses. Many thanks for all your prayers and good wishes throughout this process!  Fr. Brian, the one-eyed parson.
