This weekend is Commencement Reunion Weekend at Oberlin College. We expect visitors on Sunday morning and hope you will be present to greet them!
We'll be honoring our Oberlin College graduating seniors especially J.T. Minor who has been such a gift to us during his four years here at Christ Church.
If you are parents of small children who have benefited from J.T. Godly Play sessions, there is a card for your kids to sign at the entrance to the church. We will present this to J.T. along with a photograph of him and his "class".
There is also a framed photograph of Finney Chapel which we are asking all members of the parish to sign on the back. Please do this as you come to church on Sunday morning.
We'll have a festive coffee hour to celebrate and say God bless to J.T., Kit, Abe, Claire and Dorothy.
This Saturday is the spring social at St. Andrew's Church we are invited and it should be a lovely way to spend some time with our brothers and sisters in Elyria. If you would like to car pool with me, please give me a hollar. The event begins at 4 p.m. with dinner at 5 p.m.

Joint Vacation Bible School of The Episcopal Church in Lorain County at St. Andrew's July 31- Aug. 4.
VBS Planning Meetings & Dinner from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on May 24, June 13, June 27, and July 26 at St. Andrews.

Many thanks to everyone who lent a hand on 05/10/2017 for the 25th Postal Service Stamp Out Hunger program!. And a special "shout out" to Nicki Memmott and Bill County who organized this year's effort at Christ Church.
The Oberlin Postal Workers collected and we sorted over 4,250 lbs. of food for the Oberlin Weekday Community Meals Program and the Food Pantry at Oberlin Community Services.!

It is with sadness that we share with you the death of one of our Office Greeters, "Sophie McGill" this past Thursday evening. Sophie was a gentle soul and added a sense of calm and joy around the parish office. She will be missed.
