Hwy N Work in Progress
Construction is currently underway and will continue,  weather permitting, on Highway N  between Weiss Road and Eagle Hill Lane. MoDOT's  Highway   N  reconstruction project will include a center lane, and elevate the roadway to reduce flooding on  Highway   N . The City has partnered with MoDot and the Dardenne Greenway to also include in this road project, a new 10 foot wide paved trail/path on the north side of  Highway   N . Please use caution when driving through the construction zone for the safety of the workers, yourself, and others. In Addition, Highway N  will be closing in June at Eagle Hill Lane in order to reconstruct the box culvert. Closing it at this location will help to expedite the completion of the road improvement project. MoDot will be
issuing further information about this road closure and we will keep you updated.

What should I do if I see a street light out?

AmerenUE and Cuivre River Electric are responsible for "keeping the lights on" when it comes to street lights in Cottleville.  If you see a street light has burned out, contact Lindsay Jones, and let her know either the pole ID number or an adjacent street address so she can report it to the appropriate electric company.

Plans for Fifth Street Improvements In Historic Old Town Cottleville Continue

A consultant has been engaged to design and plan possible improvements to FifthStreet in Old Town Cottleville from Highway N to St. Charles Street. For many years, the Cottleville Community Improvement District has discussed much needed improvements for FifthStreet in Cottleville's historic district. The intersection at Highway N and FifthStreet is congested and too often, accidents occur at this location.  These improvements could include an improved storm water system, curbs, sidewalks, parking, better street signage and street lighting that would resemble our recent improvements on Main Street or along Highway N. While planning and design work continues, the construction phase for any FifthStreetimprovementsis not yet completely funded; therefore, a construction timeline has not been set. However, our City Administrator, Rich Francis will be meeting with property owners along the route and he plans for the project to go out to bid this summer.
