Vacant Lot at Highway N & Oak Street Plans New
"Mercantile Building"
A Weidenmeyer Associate's architect has designed a mercantile style building for the property owner at Highway N & Oak Street. He feels this new building, with a corner entry will serve as a "landmark " to the Historic Cottleville area. The property owner hopes the building will house office, retail-mercantile spaces as well as four (4) apartments. It was noted this photo is only a sketch of the building type as the building regulations must be met and the foot print will only be approximately 2500 square feet.

Plans Continue
Forward  to Construct
CWS Rotary Amphitheater in the  Future

These plans are underway and near completion . Staff continues to work on prioritizing the project phases and reducing construction costs. The project is not yet fully funded. however, progress continues to move forward toward obtaining funding and a construction  timeline!

Blooming Daisy Marketplace coming to Historic Downtown Cottleville!!
Blooming Daisy Marketplace will be located at 5541 Chestnut St. behind Cottleville Wine Seller. It is going to be a collective market showcasing local artisan creations, reclaimed items, and vintage wares with an emphasis on home decor and design.   In addition, they plan to offer design consultations and various "how to" classes.

In the spring and summer, they plan to have a farmers market one weekend per month allowing additional vendors and local growers the opportunity to share their products as well. This beautiful venue will allow shopping in a relaxed but close-to-home outdoor market.

This venue will be a fun, family atmosphere with games, seating and a patio for a quick snack or drink, or just to sit back and relax.  Overall, Blooming Daisy Marketplace hopes to offer visitors to Historic Cottleville a reason to stay in the area, look around, and visit all of our great local businesses.

Kountz Fort Trail Update
The Cottleville Parks and Recreation Department have begun repairing and laying a rock base down for the Kountz Fort Trail upgrade.
The Kountz Fort Trail travels through the wooded flood plain behind Brittany Place Subdivision and into the back of Legacy Park connecting to the current trail that runs along the Dardenne Creek. The City previously provided a graded, mulched, and tree lined trail in 2015. However, the historic 2015 December flood took its toll on those improvements. City staff plans to continue reconstructing the Kountz Fort Trail to a more permanent surface, weather permitting. Plans include installing a rock base covered with a millings/screenings type surface. This new surface will be more of a hard surface that should better facilitate walking and biking. This new base and surface type will also be more suited to handle the flooding that occurs in this area.
