Message from the Chairman of the Board
Mark Catapano
As we move into the summer months, the Melville Chamber of Commerce is full steam ahead. In keeping the momentum of our great events, we have plenty of programs and events scheduled throughout the summer. Please check the website for our upcoming events and watch for our email notifications.
The summer is a great time of the year for our region. Take advantage of all that Long Island has to offer. We have great beaches, restaurants, festivals, museums and so much more. As many of you have noticed, the NYS Department of Transportation has started construction of "Taste New York", a welcome center near exit 52 on the eastbound side of the Long Island Expressway.

). It is designed to promotes our area's activities and businesses. Promoting tourism is an essential element of our economic future for Long Island. The Chamber's economic and government relations committee is very active, we work with local and state government to facilitate collaboration and stimulate economic growth. It is important for the Chamber to assist local and state governments.
The Melville Chamber of Commerce announced this week, that our annual "Business Expo 2016" will be held October 25, 2016 at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington. For those of you who attended our Expo last year, I'm sure you noticed how special it was and how it differs from most trade shows. We had local restaurants, live music, business showcases and Ambassadors assisting Attendees and Exhibitors in helping make connections. Please take advantage of opportunities in this year's Business Expo,

So kick your feet in the sand, as we celebrate America with the birthday of our country this 4th of July. Rember those who paved they way for our freedom in the land of opportunities.
Thank you all for supporting the Melville Chamber of Commerce and also to our Board and Committee Members for their hard work and commitment. Feel free to reach out to any of us with any ideas, questions and/or comments. Have a safe and fun summer!!!
Best regards,
Mark Catapano
