Podcasts Are Back!
The Board of the Melville Chamber is once again working with Digital Waterworx who is providing the recording studio and recording and editing time for our podcasts. To listen to our podcasts visit the Melville Chamber of Commerce podcast website at

If you don't know what a Podcast is here is the low down. It is a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, and new installments can be heard by subscribers by visiting a website or in some cases through a subscription. Digital Waterworx, a well-respected and experienced company is working closely with us to help the Melville Chamber Spotlight your businesses. As a member of the Chamber, you can contact us to reserve a spot to have a podcast recorded about your business. It is a great marketing tool.
Forbes magazine, has a wonderful article which explains "6 Reasons Why Podcasting is the Future of Storytelling" Which I have summarized below.
- There has been an unprecedented investment in podcasting in recent months because it is more efficient medium to get your message out there.
- The content is improving because savvy creators can take advantage of freedom from a networking programming clock.
- The talent base is growing because premiere talent is more interested in podcasting for a lower cost than other mediums.
- Distribution is expanding and it is easier and easier to gain access to podcast content which is free to your potential customers.
- Cars are now connected via internet and satellite and have better access to podcast content instead of standard radio listening.
- Virtual Reality is on the way. Although not with our podcasts, soon podcasts will have the ability to modify across different activities and settings venturing where print and video cannot go.
