Message from the Vice President
Craig Levy
Labor Day is almost here! First off, I would like to wish everyone and their families a very happy holiday. I hope you will enjoy the remaining few hot days before the temperature gets cooler.
The Melville Chamber remains hot for your business. This Chamber provides outstanding after hour networking opportunities, breakfast meetings, Young Professional Group, The Women's Empowerment Network
, Podcasts, and Business Resource Roundtable meetings. On top of all of those amazing attributes, this Chamber is filled with extraordinary people in various industries that will be able to provide quality goods and services. Please reach out to your fellow chamber members and stay local! They're many Chambers on Long Island but I consider the Melville Chamber of Commerce. one of the best . They care about not only about its members, the community, and its potential for exceedingly achieving greatness. I receive regularly business referrals and I am always looking to refer business to our members. I enjoy meeting and get to know many of the members. A lot of the members are very good friends with me.
We will be having our Business Expo on October 25, 2016 at the Huntington Hilton Hotel in Melville from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are delighted that the keynote speaker of the Expo will be Stew Leonard, Jr. President and CEO of Stew Leonard's. A few months ago, Stew hosted a Melville Chamber breakfast event at his store in Farmingdale. It was very well received and interesting. Our Expo is an affordable way to market your company. We will have what is called restaurant row. The local restaurants will be showcasing their great cuisine. The feedback on last year's expo was fantastic, and it will be even better this year.
I am sure you noticed the construction on the Long Island Expressway. They are building the first Welcome Center near exit 52. This will be a 15,000 square foot facility. At this Welcome Center there will be 30 bathrooms, 135 parking spots, electric car charging, 24 security cameras, and a Taste NY Kiosk with local products. This center will be promoting tourism throughout Long Island.
It is an honor and privilege for me to be serving on your Board of Directors. If you ever have any questions or comments please reach out to any of our Board Members.
Best regards,
Craig Levy
