MAYOR'S MESSAGE

Now that January has come and gone (very quickly, might I add), spring isn't far away. As I previously mentioned, our City employees are working diligently to ensure that the spring and summer - as well as the remainder of the year - will be safe, enjoyable and entertaining. The first step to achieving this goal is to make certain that we have a sound and well-planned municipal budget. With that in mind, during the February 13 City Council meeting I will present Sea Isle's 2018 Municipal Budget to City Council for their consideration. Then, Council will host an open to the public Budget Workshop in Council Chambers at 9:00 a.m. on February 15th.   >>READ MORE<<

CITY COUNCIL'S MESSAGE

During the January 23 City Council meeting, Ordinance 1615 had second reading and public hearing prior to being adopted by Council. Ordinance 1615 is a "housekeeping" ordinance that amended the City's General Ordinances by updating, clarifying and eliminating various chapters. For example, the word "Commissioner" was changed to "City Council;" the Jitney section was updated as per State statute; the construction fee schedule was adjusted as per State statute; and the chapter regarding bulkheads was updated.    >>READ MORE<<

CITY-WIDE FLOOD MITIGATION PLAN

Drainage Improvements

A major priority of the Sea Isle City government is addressing the flooding which impacts our City and is most prevalent in low lying areas. Over the past several years, the City has implemented several drainage improvement projects to replace deteriorated storm drainage systems and tidal check valves; and we're coordinating with the county engineer's office on several projects, as much of our drainage system falls under county jurisdiction.  >>READ MORE<<
