Independent Healthcare Monitors in Action

Gates Healthcare Associates has established a new division, Independent Healthcare Monitors (IHM), dedicated to helping licensees and regulators proactively resolve issues that may lead to infractions or disciplinary actions.
 Through this service, an independent healthcare monitor can work with license
es and regulators to strike a balance between restrictions to ensure patient safety and allowing licensees to continue practicing and serving their communities as they implement corrective actions, develop settlement agreements that minimize litigation expenses, and ultimately regain compliance.
IHM performs assessments for a wide variety of healthcare organizations and practice settings, including hospitals, health systems, and independent, chain and long-term care pharmacies. IHM's expert associates consist of a patient safety consultant, compliance investigators, former board executive officers, and a former DEA supervisory investigator.
