Share the Plate for March 11th:
Planned Parenthood is the designated Share the Plate recipient for our March 11th collection. Services provided by Planned Parenthood include sexual health services and screenings, breast exams, vasectomies, pregnancy prevention and research. Less than 10% are abortion related. Planned Parenthood is dedicated to serving, educating, and protecting the confidentiality of women, men and teens seeking medical care. Health centers are welcoming to all, regardless of race, ancestry, national origin, creed, gender, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, income or age. 80% of patients are at or below 150% of the federal poverty level. Due to the present political climate Planned Parenthood has been under attack citing erroneous statistics. They face severe funding cuts and need our support. UUC's annual pledge drive has begun! Our beacon is shining brightly, lighting the path for members and friends to promote progressive values as we grow spiritually in community. Each year  your  commitment to give generously enables UUC's ministries - music, religious education, outreach, activism - as well as supporting our strong ministerial and professional staff.

Look for teal pledge forms in the pews and the Narthex or go online to make your gift. Questions? Contact Stewardship Chair Mary Currey ( ) or Canvass co-chairs, Bill Foley ( ) or Susan Gore ( ).

Your support ensures UUC can light the path for its members, friends and the larger community. Take a moment  now  to become part of the Canvass - make your pledge today!

Introduction to Non-Violent Communication
This will be the final two sessions of the Faithful Communication Workshop.
Ray Williamson and Lore Eargle are  offering a participative workshop to improve all relationships and interactions by learning a few tenets of clear communication. It will be heldin the Patio Room of the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, 2470 Nursery Road, Clearwater.
NVC is a system of communication and inner reflection whereby conflicts can be averted or resolved, appreciation and gratitude expressed, relationships deepened, and whereby one can come into deeper understanding of oneself and others. It works even if only one person in a conversation has even heard of NVC. When two people familiar with NVC work through an issue, it can be magically transformative.
NVC is not associated with any religion. Learning to practice NVC can facilitate living our personal lives with integrity, and improve the functioning of our relationships and organizations.
