"Start spreading the news..." that during the Mexico Sk�l World Congress we shall all have the opportunity to sing the "Canto a la Amistad Sk�l" (Song to Sk�l Friendship) composed by our late friend and devoted Sk�lleague Nestor Omar Testa. At the official Opening Ceremony, at the Get-Together, most probably at the Gala Dinner as well and in the evening at the bar. Make sure you learn the lyrics and music before your arrive in Mexico City and let's sing together! We might have a competition for the best rendering!!!

Sk�l International joins the rest of the world in mourning the loss of 298 passengers and crew on-board Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 that came down in Eastern Ukraine last Friday local time.

 The evaluation of the 2014 Sk�l Sustainable Tourism Awards is being carried on by a jury panel of three independent experts in sustainability. This year a total of 24 entries have entered the competition in the eight different categories. The judges will finish their evaluation by mid-August and the General Secretariat will then contact all the participants. The name of the winners will be announced during the Opening Ceremony of the 75th Sk�l World Congress in Mexico City on 26 October 2014.
The Sustainable Tourism Awards programme is generously sponsored by our partner Diversey/Sealed Air, who will also present a Special Recognition Award to one of the projects entering the competition.
