Greetings!

As Rim Country departs from the Billings Community, I wanted to give you an opportunity to stay informed about outdoor education events in the area.

I am especially excited about a program starting this fall, a Master Naturalist class I will be teaching through MSU-Billings Downtown. The course will be a broad, seminar-style introduction to the natural landscapes in the Billings area--rivers, mountains, and prairie. It will include instruction on naturalist and interpretive skills like journaling and hike-leading as well as in-depth study of insects, mammals, geology, birds, and other elements of the natural world.

I will also be continuing regular blog entries about the goings-on at Cove Canyon Grasslands, the 3,000 acre conservation reserve near Billings and my current place of residence.

If you are interested in keeping in touch about these and other developments, both on the land and in my own efforts as a community naturalist, send a reply to this e-mail or contact me otherwise (see below).

Thank you for your support of Rim Country over the last few years.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Sevier
