Supporting our Trades
Dear Member,
In the
February issue of EA Extra I shared my experience in visiting Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. During my visit, I got to see some of the programs available at schools like MBIT, which provide the training and education necessary to the future electrical and heating and air-conditioning workforce. However, there continues to be little interest in a career in the trades, resulting in the workforce shortage many members experience daily.
While I don't have the answer on how to fill the void just yet, I can support the students who have selected our industry. This year we are pleased to donate to the top graduating students at both Middle Bucks Institute of Technology as well as the Delaware County Technical School to help as they begin their careers. We also contributed to IAEI Benjamin Franklin Chapter's Give Back to the Community Program which supports emerging members of the workforce.
I look forward to sharing more about the students who were awarded our contributions in a future newsletter. For now, I would like to thank you for your continued membership whose dollars went to supporting these students.

2018-2019 EAP Membership Directory
Don't miss out!
The 2018-2019 Membership Directory is in production which means it is time to submit updates to your company roster. By now all members should have received their company profile to make updates.
Also available are advertisements which support the production of this key member tool. The deadline for submissions of both company rosters and advertisements is
Friday, May 4.
This year's directory will feature a few changes including the addition of company profiles for Manufacturers, Manufacturers' Representatives, as well as Distributors. We will also feature new divider pages to ease access of locating members and open some new highly-visible advertising locations.
If you have any questions or need another copy of your member profile, please contact Mair Malfara at (610) 825-1600 x12 or by email at
mair@eap.org.
