Lots of new stuff to tell you about today but first, I want to alert those of you who visit our home base here in (not so) sunny Downers Grove that we will be open from 10am to 1pm instead of our regular hours this Saturday, November 9.

It also looks like we'll be adjusting our hours on Saturday, December 7 as well. We'll confirm the times when we announce our Holiday Hours in a few weeks.

First off is a new book by John Julian called '1967: Chris Amon, Scuderia Ferrari and a Year of Living Dangerously'The Author takes a fresh look at one of racing's most memorable years through the eyes of Chris Amon, the young New Zealander who had just joined the Ferrari team. Amon has long been a favorite of true racing enthusiasts. While he's often noted for his hard luck (in a thirteen-year F1 career Chris never won a World Championship Grand Prix) among knowledgeable fans and fellow drivers he is still universally respected for his speed, skill, and sportsmanship. Hardcover, 12" x 9", 120 pages, 59 black-and-white and 19 color photographs. We expect delivery later this month. $49.95 Reserve HERE.

November new releases from Spark Model include two 1/43 scale GTP cars from the glory days of IMSA's Camel GT Championship. Left: Preston Henn's 1985 Daytona winning Valvoline Porsche 962C, driven by AJ Foyt, Bob Wollek, Al Unser and Thierry Boutsen ($74.00 Reserve HERE). Right: The 1986 Watkins Glen winning March 85G BMW as driven by John Andretti and Davy Jones, the 'Junior Team' of BMW's factory effort that year ($74.00 Reserve HERE).

You can check out the complete list of incoming 1/43 scale Spark Models HERE. Next week's new arrivals include several 2013 LeMans participants as well as Bizarre's Oldsmobile Aerotech as driven to a new Closed Course Speed Record by AJ Foyt in 1987. Check out the video below:

A few years ago, we told you about an Australian company (Biante) that had planned on modeling Sir Jack Brabham's World Championship winning Coopers and the early Formula One cars that bore his name. Sadly, that project died before it could get off the ground.

Fortunately, Schuco picked up the tooling for Brabham's Cooper T51, and has produced a highly detailed 1/18 scale Limited Edition (2,000 individually numbered) die cast model of the first rear engined car to win both the Driver's and Constructor's World Championships in 1959. We have acquired a small quantity of these models, due to arrive next week. Those who pre-ordered the Biante version a couple of years ago will get first crack at them but we expect to have a handful available for Email Update subscribers. $269.99. Reserve HERE.

He's done it again! Sebastian Vettel has clinched his fourth consecutive Formula One World Championship at an age younger than that of fellow four time World Champion Alain Prost when he won his first Grand Prix. Just think about that for a minute. Love him or hate him, it's an amazing accomplishment for Vettel, Adrian Newey and the entire Red Bull organization.

Models of World Championship winners are collected by enthusiasts worldwide so it's always a good idea to get your reservations in early. Minichamps has announced die cast models of Sebastian Vettel's Infiniti Red Bull Racing Renault RB9 in both 1/18 and 1/43 scale. Release dates (of course) to be determined.

You can check out the entire Minichamps 2013 Formula One Collection HERE.

Next time we'll have information on some exciting new books.

Remember: We will be open from 10am to 1pm this Saturday!

- Paul
