Dear ECEDHA Members, Industry Partners, and Colleagues,

As you are aware, ECEDHA, in partnership with the National Science Foundation, recently organized the Workshop on the Strategic Shaping of ECE, with a focus on Vision, Branding, and Advocacy.  The event took place January 20-21 at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center in Atlanta.  This meeting represented a community follow-up to the challenge posed to us by many of ECE's thought leaders including Justin Rattner, Intel, and Pramod Khargonekar, the National Science Foundation, at ECEDHA's 2015 Annual Meeting in Hilton Head.

NSF CISE CAREER Proposal Writing Workshop

Workshop to be held April 4, 2016 at the Westin Arlington Gateway in Arlington, VA

The NSF Directorate for Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) will host a one-day workshop on CAREER Proposal Writing.  The goal of this workshop is to introduce junior CAREER-eligible faculty to the NSF CAREER program and help them to prepare their CAREER proposals to target CISE programs.  Attendees will have the opportunity to improve their skills in proposal writing, as well as to interact with NSF program directors from different CISE divisions (ACI, CCF, CNS, and IIS) and recent NSF CAREER awardees.  The workshop is also open to multidisciplinary researchers with a CISE-specific focus, including cyberinfrastructure.
