In this edition, we celebrate our 2018 LEAP award winners and learn more about their goals for the future. We will meet new staff members and their rolls at ECNV. We will also get an overview of Secretary Hargan's visit to ECNV.

Living Well In Your OWN Home is an Informative workshop on
understanding options for living in the community and getting support when aging and/or disability occur. Guest Presenters include Ricky Parker of EMC Construction Services, Claire Kelly who is an occupational therapist and Certified Aging in Place Specialist and Staff from the Loundoun ENDependence. Topics that will be discussed include tips for altering your home, analysis of the interaction between a person, environment and daily living, and types of in home services available as well as state funding programs that may help pay for home modifications.

The ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia would like to congratulate LEAP winners for being selected as this year’s LEAP awards recipients. Each year, The ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV), through a grant from the HSC Foundation, provides the LEAP awards to support youth and young adults with disabilities in transitioning to the next step in their lives and careers.
