ALUMNI ON THE MOVE

Joseph Lilly, Leadership Discovery and Leadership Navigation, Class of 2011 & Class of 2012,  has been promoted to Director of Finance and Accounting for Oregon Transfer Co.

"As we all know, changing jobs is a stressful time and EDI provided me with the tools necessary for a smooth transition.   I regularly have to remind myself to slow down, listen to what the person is saying, and try to understand where they are coming from.  This process has allowed me to quickly understand the company and become an active member of the management team."

If you have received a promotion/award or know of an Alumni who did, please email EDI at edi@ediorg.org.

AL'S COLUMN

Wake up, wake up this just in! Our Communications Coordinator Rebecca Dmello graduated from the UW in June and recently was hired full time by Paccar in Marketing. Rebecca worked at EDI for about two years and as many of you know she was our newsletter editor, social media point person, special events coordinator and the most fashionably dressed person in our whole building! Rebecca did so much for us, I can't imagine EDI without her. Her creativity, dedication, flexibility and ability to multi-task made her an invaluable part of our team. We will all miss her. This is her last newsletter and when you call into the office you'll have to put up with me sometimes. Rebecca worked closely with our Office Assistant, Chan Lo, and he had this to say about her.. "Rebecca, I will miss you and thank you for all the things you did personally for me like how to fix the copy machine or how to use the computer. Good luck in your new job". Our Program Director, Marci Nakano, worked with Rebecca the longest says..."Thank you Rebecca for helping to expose EDI in new ways because of your creative and innovative ideas.  Paccar is lucky to have you!"  We are in the process of hiring a new communications coordinator and we hope to introduce that person to you via our September newsletter.
